The cost of your move is calculated based upon five things:
The number of hours required and the number of movers required are estimated based upon a number of factors:
When we provide a free on-site estimate, we consider these things and give you a clear, not-to-exceed price. Any reputable mover should do the same. The state of Texas requires the customer be provided one of two options before your move begins.
When you receive a moving quote via email or over the phone, the mover can only estimate based upon the items you state. If a mover shows up on your moving day and you have significantly more items to be moved than you previously mentioned or you choose to have the movers pack anything in boxes, of course, the cost of your move is going to increase. It is imperative that when you choose an online moving estimate or a free moving estimate over the phone that you are very clear about exactly which of your belongings you wish to have your moving company handle. Never accept a verbal price, quote or estimate.
At The Moving Factor, we pride ourselves on our ability to carefully estimate the cost of your local or long distance move. We have decades of experience and an understanding of the time required to properly wrap, protect, drive, load and unload your household goods.
